What's the difference in quality between the LSP and LSQ?
Answer : Everything
LSQ
- A checklist ~ does it have properties of a questionnaire?
- Designed "at half-time during a polo match" ~ can it really provide interesting information?
- Very little statistical evidence in manual ~ where is the evidence to support its use?
- Hangs on the shirt-tail of Kolb's theory from the 1980s (but actually does not even get that right). Is it simply out of date?
- Claims learning is totally experiential ~ does this really ring true?
- Little evidence of validity even after all this time ~ surely this is a problem?
- Must pay for manual
- Two point scale - does this make it hard for people to answer?
- The four scales are highly overlapping ~ Is it actually a two scale model?
- Scales have no meaning outside of the LSQ in the broader literaure
- Ask yourself this. Does the LSQ tell you anything that you don't know already?
- Subject to critical reviews in the academic literature
